With a lack of snow in the Sierras, our powder craze got the best of us, so we headed out for new mountains and fresh snow. With a short stop in the Wasatch, we quickly realized the Tetons were calling. A cold storm brought a light dusting and kept the snow in the high backcountry light and fresh, which fixed our craze for the time being. Although some ski trips and seasons are longer than others we realized it was time to go with the flow and trade in the skis for the rock and river, as it is the act of being immersed in nature that is the true reward. “In every walk with Nature one receives far more than he seeks.” –John Muir
