Field Review: W's Hybrid Insulator

Field Agent Chelsea Brown does it all. From skiing in Vail, to hiking and snowshoing around the front range, to fly fishing on the Gunnison River. She needs a jacket that functions well across the board. Lucky for her, there’s the MSW002 Hybrid Insulator.

Product: MSW002 Hybrid Insulator
Field Agent: Chelsea Brown
Testing Locations: Vail, CO; Arapaho Basin, CO; Steamboat Springs, CO; Lake City, CO.

The Women’s Hybrid Insulator exists at the intersection of versatile function and cruisy style. Chelsea first used the jacket to keep warm on a ski trip to Steamboat by layering it under her shell. Primaloft synthetic insulation throughout the body made for toasty lift rides, while the stretch fleece side panels helped dump heat on the way down. Perfect thermal regulation. Once off the slopes, however, her midlayer quickly became an around-town piece. Everybody knows soft stuff is awesome, and Chelsea definitely loved burying her hands into the super cozy micro fleece hand pockets while romping around Gunnison. She liked the trimmer fit and slightly longer back, but noticed that it ran a little small. We suggest bumping up one size. One thing: she really wished it had pit zips for further venting. Noted!
