Buy it.

I am a female, but usually prefer male jackets. I had been looking for months for an ultrathin, hoodless puffer that didn't look like all the rest of them out there. I stumbled on this from an ad on Facebook and after reading the reviews decided to give it a try. I work at a year-round camp in NY so need good layers...this jacket does not disappoint. Great for layering, but also great as a top piece. It's also got an out-of-the-box design with the hybrid model so people ask "where did you get that - it's great!"...and the hybrid design allows it to move really freely and not feel constricted in the least. Lastly, it has a classy look to it due to the buttons versus zipper, horizontal quilting, and matte fabric. I have never purchased anythign from Mountain Standard, but will now be trying to decide my next purchase. I would recommend highly.

Hybrid Camp Jacket might just be the perfect jacket

I love the hybrid camp jacket. The design is unique and very cool. The fit is true to sizing. And the jacket is so functional in so many ways. I've worn it spring skiing, hiking and just kicking around town. One of the small things I like about it is you can push the sleeves up if you get a little warm or want to get more aggressive in an activity...and the sleeves actually stay up and don't get stretched or lose their form. It's a killer jacket that I routinely get compliments on.

Great jacket!

Lightweight, warm, looks great on, fit is perfect. I'm 6'2" 220 lbs. I ordered the XL and the fit is perfect! I'm going to order the standard insulator also!

LEGIT!

I purchased this "jacket" for outdoor pursuits as well as trips kickin' around town. This is not only a great piece for transition seasons when it's not cold, but in the 40s - 50s. It's equally as stylish as my wife says that she really liked it on me. I'm 5' 11" 165 and the medium fits me very well. I can wear a thin mid-layer underneath for those mornings that are a tad bit chilly and it fits well.

I especially like that it has two hand pockets; something other lightweight pieces that I have lack. At first I was concerned about the buttons, but they work very well.

The only negative I have to say about it is the front chest pocket will not swallow my phone. But that's a minor issue.

It goes well with casual pants as well as with slacks. Overall it's an excellent addition to my outdoor kit.

The in between for everything

I bought this jacket because I usually am stuck between two options, heavy coat or sweat shirt. This versatile, modern jacket is business in the front, 8 mile hike in the back. I can wear this just about anywhere and in any condition. I love that it looks sleek, is warm and breathes well. I’m concerned about the quickness of fraying in the front. Some of the material is coming through the fabric. Only time will tell. I feel like if I was to get caught or snagged that this would rip fairly easily.
